Sleazy crooks. I ordered a book from Booktown USA via Biblio.com. Half an hour after I placed the order, I received an email demanding more money – more than DOUBLE the original price plus shipping and handling and tax – or the order would be canceled. No reason was given other than S & H.Apparently I’m not the only one they’ve tried to rip off that way. I don’t know what the store is like in person, but their online ordering policies are nothing but bare-faced robbery! Caveat emptor.

This is a great little gem of a store and found exactly what I was looking for. Yes, there are boxes of stuff lying around. Yes, it is a bit crowded. And, yes, the owner has a sense of humor! Don’t judge him based on the review of others. I found him to be honest and quite helpful for what I was looking for. Left the store with a bundle of 6 very vintage books, one dated from 1896. Cool!
