We are the Westside’s largest used and new bookstore, just steps from the Third Street Promenade, and a short walk to the beach. Our broad selection of books, CDs and DVDs changes everyday. Our buying hours are 9 am – 8 pm, 7 days a week. The store inventory is updated in real-time and can be searched through our website or in-store at one of our helpful search desks. Only thing missing is space to sit, read, and have coffee.

Plenty of room to browse their well organized selection.

I was lured in to BookMonster by a sale shelf that was outside (and by my friend). This is a great second hand bookstore. It’s well organized with very helpful personnel. My friend and I both found great items – books and fun journals. When you are in the area, definitely stop in. Grab a book before you hit the beach to lounge around all day.

Secondhand book store by the beach! You can buy or sell books. You’re allowed to shop indoors, and they have Search Desk stations set up to help you search the store inventory. All books were reasonably priced – definitely a steal if you’re looking to save some money and don’t mind purchasing a gently used book.

Excellent second hand bookstore, great quality and helpful personnel. Plenty of room to browse their well organized selection. They have a computer system to locate that special book you are looking for, even across their branches. You can also bring in your own books for a credit, but don’t expect to get rich that way.
