Today I went to Bob’s in Yonkers I was a little nervous because a lot of the reviews stated that their customer service is sub par. That was not my experience at all today. Franklin was not only helpful but extremely patient with me. Also when I spoke with the manager Ed he was kind, relatable and again provided me with excellent customer service. I am not one to write reviews but when people go above and beyond their job requirements it should be noted and applauded. Kudos gentlemen for making me feel so confident not only in my purchases but in my decision to go to Bob’s

Absolutely terrible quality products. My bed frame broke with less than two years’ use. All of the wood is cheaply made particle board with very low stress resistance. Weight-bearing wood should be solid, especially for the prices you pay at Bob’s. All three metal legs holding up my bed broke (the tac-welds did not hold) and caused the wooden rails to snap. This ultimately caused my box spring to break. I am an average-weight person (~170lbs). The designs for the beds are horrible and are not great at supporting weight; they creak, the bolts loosen over time and require constant tightening, and it felt very unstable after the first month’s use.It took three attempts to deliver my dresser and night stand, as the glass tops kept breaking. I asked if I could have the dresser and nightstand shipped to my house anyway without the glass or mirror, and was told the product would only be shipped in its entirety and would have to wait for the warehouse to send another. As a result, I had no furniture for the first two months of moving into my house.I submitted a claim with their goof proof insurer for my bed, Guardian Protection Products, as I had paid for coverage, only to be denied due to the bed being used for its intended purpose. I waited over a week to be told I am ineligible for a replacement part. Guardian has over 1000 reviews with 1 star online, absolute garbage service, do NOT buy coverage as you will not be refunded, nor given a replacement part if something breaks. I paid $150 to have coverage, and according to my receipt, this is a $46 part. This company will scam every penny from you.The saleswoman, Antonella, during my purchase was very assertive and would not take no for an answer when I denied Goof Proof coverage, and made me pay $30 for the cleaning/care products as well. Do not shop at Bob’s, take your business elsewhere. They will scam every penny from you.

I’m not the kind of person who leaves reviews, especially negative ones, but I would leave zero stars if I could, that’s how horrible the service is at this store and at Bob’s Furniture in general. When we first went to the store to view items, the salesperson who helped us was so unprofessional with her comments that we left without placing an order. She proceeded to contact me via my personal cell phone number to find out why I did not want to place the order, and if she should cancel it. I never agreed to placing an order with her, so what is there to cancel? I then got nervous that this woman fraudulently placed an order, so I contacted the Corporate number to find out what happened. Luckily they were able to address the issue and confirmed that it was not placed.Foolishly I decided to go through and place an order online instead of with the store, even though I had a poor experience. Several items were on backorder for a crazy long time, and as such, I decided to cancel the dining table and couch I was purchasing, but kept several other items. I canceled the dining table almost a month ago at this point and the couch almost 2 weeks ago, and I still have not received my refund. Apparently, the only way Bob’s furniture can process refunds is through the local store that handles your order, even if you placed your order online. But good luck ever getting through to the store! You can call literally 50 times in a row and no one will answer. So, I tried to call the Corporate number again to find out what is going on. They also could not get through to the store. They informed me that the Refunds Department has been closed for a week now, and they do not know why. They had no way to escalate my issue further, either. I’m now considering disputing the charges with my credit card company to try to get my money back. I am a repeat customer who has spent thousands of dollars at Bob’s, but this process has been such a disaster at every step of the way that I will never purchase anything from Bob’s furniture again.
