When I asked for simple syrup in my latte, the employee said they didn’t have any. I pointed at the bottle of simple syrup on the counter and asked about it. With an attitude now, the employee asked how much I wanted to which I said I double the amount you would normally put in. Well how much in grams would you like she said to me. The conversation only deteriorated from there. At this point I could here the barista (a different employee) getting the milk ready. The machine was whistling loudly. Folks, we know a whistling sound means scalded milk which is too hot to drink and actually ruins the taste of the entire drink. The atmosphere seemed sterile and unwelcoming and the employees seemed disgruntled and almost combative in nature. Please find a different coffee shop that opens at 6am and save yourselves the lousy customer service.
