Traded in my 2018 lease for a 2021 and it was an icky experience. And I’m still running into headaches 3 months later because the paperwork on my lease turn in wasn’t submitted before the car was sold, and now I’m getting tickets from the new owner as the car was still registered in my name. I love Honda’s, but will definitely go to a different dealership next time.

TLDR: I came for a recall for my 2009 Honda Fit and was told I needed over $700 worth of work and they gave me a flat tire and refused to take responsibility for it.I brought my car here last week for a drive shaft recall. When I picked it up a few days later, they had done an inspection and told me it needed a lot of work and that replacing the spark plugs and fixing a leaking oil valve would cost $700 (classic dealership inflation).I left and had barely driven around the block when the low tire pressure light went off. I pulled over and checked the pressure on all my tires and found that, despite the tires supposedly being checked in the inspection, one tire was 10 pounds below pressure.I drove back to the dealership and they found a nail in it and offered to fix the flat for free. When I came back 20 minutes later, they insisted the flat was NOT from the nail, but from the tire pressure sensor being loose. They said the people who replaced my tires must have installed the tire pressure sensor wrong and that they couldn’t fix it, so I needed to take it back there. I explained that I bought my tires NINE months ago, so if this was an issue, it should have arisen way before this, but they refused to do anything else to fix the tire.Never going back here.Update: I took my car to Torchio’s mechanic downtown and they looked it over and told me NOTHING was wrong with it.

I recently had my car serviced here, upon picking up the car I noticed grease stains on the ceiling where a mechanic had touched it with dirty hands. So I went into honda today and a worker named Eddie was quick, attentive and gave excellent customer service. He immediately began cleaning the stains and left the ceiling looking better then before. He did it all with a positive attitude and 15min later I was on my way.People like Eddie are why I choose honda of berkeley to service all my vehicles.Keep up the good work.
