I enjoyed my experience. I noticed less new items for the season than usual and a lot more clearance racks of winter clothes. Probably due to the pandemic. Clean store. The employees were very nice especially the tall African American woman in cosmetics. I cannot remember her name but she is Awesome!!!

The Belk located in Wiregrass commons mall is a mess. There is never any assistance unless you are specifically looking for makeup where the employees make commission. The store manager is driving employees away with no regards for the stores success, stating things like corporate says none of you are worthy of promotion and doing her best NOT to work with her employees, despite having lost over 80% of the new hires and almost 20% of the long term (over 10 years) employees in the last year alone. This business desperately needs to replace her in order to move forward, otherwise this Belk likely won’t be around much longer due to her incompetence.

This is the Bell store in Dothan, AL. Masks are still required and the checkout desks have been scaled down. Evidently there is only 1 register open for checkout and returns. I overheard an employee tell a customer that only 1 register is to be open at any time because company policy is that 2 employees can not be at any one checkout at a time. If you shop at any Belk, be prepared to spend some time waiting to check out. The same goes for the Belk store in Montgomery.
