He started Beau Monde in South San Francisco on April of 1983 and in January of 2005 he moved the company to the convenient location in Belmont, California.

Michael at Beau Monde is truly honest, a professional, and super knowledgeable on flooring, and made our shopping experience for our kitchen remodel a breeze! I found Beau Monde doing an internet search and thought I would try a local business vs Home Depot, and so glad that I did. We were taking out a wall and were transitioning from original oak floors to something new – and the transition would be pronounced. We decided on a Hybrid Floor that is 60% limestone (sturdy!) in a grey tone with brown strikes that would match our new cherry cabinets. It is completely diff from the honey oak, and we could not be more pleased with the quality, color and durability. I was at the store a number of times trying to make a decision and Michael gave honest advice and suggestions. The Hybrid flooring we chose is a floating floor that snaps together, which is perfect because we had cracks in our kitchen walls from the house settling, and the cool basement under the kitchen could cause future flooring to buckle. Not with the floating floor though. I would recommend Beau Monde over Home Depot or Lowes any day, you just can’t get this type of customer service, sound advice and knowledge going to the big stores. check out the pics! it looks amazing.

Michael is very experienced and professional, and super easy to work with. He provided lots of useful information about flooring selection, the pros and cons of the different products, and fast efficient service when I needed help. It was very easy to place orders online, then arrange for contractors to pickup at GAIA’s San Jose warehouse. When we ran into a color match problem, he was very quick to jump in and leverage his relationship with the vendor to support us. Even the owner dropped by to inspect the issue at our site, and they were able to respond quickly to resolve the problem.It is usually when problems come up that a vendor’s customer service philosophy and process gets tested. In our case, they came through with flying colors! I highly recommend Michael as a resource for any flooring needs, and he will get the job done!
