This place is the only bookstore left in the valley, private or chain.The staff is very helpful and they have books here.Nearly all of the soft chairs where one can sit for hours reading have been taken away since opening. Over the years they’ve tricked us folk who want to read for free and be comfortable at the same time.Music section is gone too. Yay for commercial profits.But I did buy Rules For Radicals here years ago, so I guess I can be open minded.

The one in Palm Desert, California is crowded. The parking lot is crowded and the inside is too. People are prejudice and will make fun of you. The aisles are mixed up, the lines are long, and confusing and the prices are expensive.

This is particular store is very busy but, in all the cleanliness is superb and the friendliness of the staff (for my experience) has been great! I was asked for help about five times. The restroom need to be a little more clean. So, 4 stars is appropriate rating for this Barnes and Noble.
