We’ve been taking our dog to Bark and Purr for daycare several days a week for the last four months. The experience has been nearly universally excellent. The employees truly care about each dog – it shows, because our dog loves going there. Their grooming services have been better and cheaper than alternatives. And the store is stocked with everything you might need in a pinch.We highly recommend Bark and Purr to any pet owners.

I was really looking forward to have a pleasant experience with this place, but it was the total opposite. I made an appointment about 2-3 weeks ago for my dog to get groomed and, today 06/04 I call to confirm and to ask some questions about the appointment and they start telling that I don’t have an appointment. I was shocked. As we continue talking she says that my reservation was for friday (today) not for saturday, and that’s when I got tight. I know for sure that I made my reservation for saturday cause that’s the only day when I have my morning off from work. I even marked the day on my calendar. I was annoyed as hell. The rep said that she was gonna call me after she confirmed with her staff about what happened with my appointment, she called me back saying that the groomer called me to confirm the date and that wasn’t true. I have my phone all the time, I even pick up when I’m at work, so I know for sure they didn’t call me. If it wasn’t because I called, I would’ve showed up there tomorrow to find out that they didn’t make my appointment properly. I just can’t express in words how annoyed I am right now.

Not a fan. Tried to take my dog here for grooming after we moved to the area. Woman at the desk dragged my 10-lb dog like a dead weight to the back. Looked at the daycare and just didn’t feel safe leaving my dog at the cobbled-together back room. Store always smells like piss, saw puddles on the ground not being tended to before. The only reason we’ve gone more than once is purely convenience as we live within walking distance. When we’ve ordered things from the new online site to avoid excess time in the store, it’s always been poorly managed. The first time, ordered delivery. Was supposed to be same day, never got it. Called, was told it’d be like a week or more. Second time, for pickup, went okay. Except that they replaced some flavors of food without bothering to call us as things were out of stock. Luckily our dog doesn’t have food allergies, but if yours does, keep that in mind. Third time, also pickup, got charged, but no confirmation email. Called AFTER pickup time to check in, and was told that since two of the items were out of stock (but said in stock online), they didn’t send a confirmation. Or you know, bother calling us to let us know what was going on. I guess they hoped we’d just forget about the order and let them charge us anyway? Either way, this place is absolutely run in a completely substandard fashion and I’m done with it. The only reason it still exists is probably because, like us, the people in the area use it for convenience. Avoid.
