Ok, seamed friendly.

I stopped in at this “full service” branch today only because I was referred from my usual branch given the size of the specific transaction I was looking to make. There were only two tellers and one (a short, squat woman with brown curly hair tied up) was not serving anyone. The other was tied up in a transaction. Everyone was practicing social distancing and standing several feet apart in line, waiting. After quite some time had elapsed and the line had grown very long, this teller came out from behind the counter, deliberately walked past me to the person behind me, and offered to “help the next customer.” I was in utter disbelief but couldn’t say anything as she had already begun helping the other person. She then moved on to the people behind them, still ignoring me. Luckily they were kind and pointed out that I was very clearly the next person in line. She seemed very reluctant to assist me, trying to get me to do the transaction at an ATM, then asking for my ID before doing a swift 180 and verifying the transaction by texting a code to my phone. It was quite obvious what was going on – I was the only Asian client in the bank. Do stop by this branch if you want to experience racist “otherizing.” Would give them zero stars but Google only allows one. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a BOA.

My experience wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. The teller I had spoke in a robotic, monotone voice. She said my id wasn’t in their system….she said it in an almost accusatory manner, as if it was my fault. If you go in expecting good customer service, you will be disappointed.
