Bailey Slipper Shop derives its name from its roots on Bailey Avenue, where it began as a family shoe store in 1929. Shortly after, an area dance teacher inquired about the possibility of carrying some dance footwear, and a small dance section was added to the store. Since that time, it has grown and evolved into the full-service, multi-location specialty dance boutique it is today. We have Bailey Slipper Shop locations in suburbs of both Buffalo, NY and Rochester, NY to serve you. A good shop if you are in a bind and need something fast. 1 of only 2 shops left in the Rochester area!! Prices are a bit high vs the net but it’s a retail shop so to be expected. BSS was bought out a number of years ago by another person or company and used to give 10% off to college students with an ID but sadly do not have this any more 🙁 Staff is friendly and helpful. Tried to buy leg warmers but they didn’t have any in-stock and said it would take up to 2 weeks to order them. Decided to go Capezio online because w shipping I can get them at a cheaper price and in 3-5 days. I recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you need in-stock. They do seem to have a good supply of kid and adult tights, leos and shoes. If you are looking for guys dancewear especially shoes I would recommend ordering them online since they have a limited stock and are more expensive.

They had only 2 gymnasts leotards 2 chose from total in my daughter’s size. Two total. Not the best.. however staff was very kind & helpful.

Do NOT tell people to pull their mask up over their nose! The CDC says no harassment of customers. You are lucky I have it on as Covid is a hoax! Stop being afraid. Don’t work in public or go get vaccinated if you’re so afraid of other people who aren’t near you!
