I am constantly racially profiled here when I purchase deodorant (which is the only purpose of to patronize the store). Walking in causes the clerk to: not speak, look to see if I have a purse, and run to a back staff room while i am in the back of the store selecting purchases.I am not sure what alarm goes off that I would steal, however I am bothered by this deeming response. I have called the owner once to state my frustration as to why she did this. I then came in another day afterwards, same issue, different clerk. Not sure what I would need to dress like in order for them to not feel as though I am a thief. I suppose I could have a note on my forehead about whom my father is in the county and what my occupation is. Give everyone the benefit of doubt, and let people shop in peace. If anyone is dumb enough to steal I would assume they would be on camera and the nightly news, in this day in age. These experiences have been so saddening, that I am considering contacting corporate.
