It was a nice place to pick up scrap for a project that I wanted to work on. The store is a little small but it’s pretty well organized. The owner working as well was pleasant to talk to.

This place reminds me of a spot back in Pittsburgh called the Center for Creative Re-use. If you’re the artsy source, and open to fun new projects, it’s worth a look.I found a nice cigar box with a black velvet interior that I did my very first (oh, so cheesy) velvet painting on. There are canvases, ceramics, fabric, pens, half used paints, wooden panels. You could probably build a house out of the things they have, if you were particularly creative, and building code wasn’t too rigidly enforced.I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Go check it out before going to the over-priced art store. You never know what you might find.
