Went all the way to Palo Alto to buy my 7 yr old granddaughter her first American Girl Doll. Didn’t realize how big the store was. After spending an hour looking at all the dolls, I chose JOSS, because her hair color resembled my granddaughters. Then I went about picking out clothes,and matching outfits. Store was fairly empty,due to pandemic, so I was able to carry all my items to the cashier and pay. Then, home to wrap and pack for shipping to Hawaii. On Lily’s birthday, she called to thank me for herDeaf Doll!!! Had no idea what she was talking about. Deaf doll??? It came with TWO sets of hearing aids. WHY couldn’t the cashier have mentioned this TINY FACT to me!!! A simple : oh you chose Joss our hearing impaired doll ..Nothing on the box indicated Joss is deaf. It certainly would not have been the doll I would have bought had I known. Spent almost $500 at your store that day.
