I couldn’t wait to try the food at this establishment, but my expectations were not met. While we were well greeted by a gentleman who I assume is the owner, I didn’t feel pleased about being directed to sit in the back of the restaurant. I was looking forward to experiencing the ambiance that was portrayed in pictures. That initial welcome made me feel uncomfortable. As for the food, I could genuinely say that it wasn’t bad, but not great either and certainly not worth the price. Would I go back or recommend to others? Probably not.

Mother’s Day prix fixe brunch was fabulous! Beautiful food with that delicious Caribbean flavor, relaxed open decor, attentive staff, live jazz trio, and lovely owners. Just blocks from Metro North if you aren’t driving. Outdoor seating available as well. Luscious specialty drinks. You just cannot go wrong dining at Alvin & Friends!
