This was a phenomenal experience. The helicopter flight to the remote, black sand beach was mindblowingly beautiful. The bay, as you can see in the photo, is gorgeous. There was a glacier fed waterfall, salmon berries and crystal clear water.Scott was a dynamite host. He took us to this place when the tides were best and we scored super fun waves. He took the picture of us paddleboarding and has such a great personality. He’s really personable and fun loving.I highly, HIGHLY, recommend Alaska Surf Guides.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Ended up getting 4-6 ft waves . Great peeling left. Landscape was incredible. It was only us and the local seals who were more than chill sharing the waves. Water was warmer in a 5,4 than a 4,3 in nor cal in the winter. Stoked!

I had the best surf and stand-up paddle board trip with Alaska Surf Guides. Scott’s professional and extensive surf knowledge for the Seward area made planning the adventure easy. The fun began as soon as we got on the helicopter to fly out to the spot. The views were incredible – we saw the bay, wildlife, waterfalls, and glaciers. Once on the beach, Scott had a brief safety and guide overview. All of the gear was high quality and in great condition. We were in our own secluded, wild spot and in the water for a few hours. The waves and the whole day were perfect. I would highly recommend a surf and/or stand-up paddle board trip with Alaska Surf Guides if you’re looking for an enjoyable, all inclusive, full-day adventure.
