I have used the services of the Alaska MacStore since it was at its previous location on Dimond. I have consistently been very happy with all aspects of their business. From helping me with technical issues to performing repairs, the entire staff has been extremely helpful, responsive, efficient, professional, and their charges are very reasonable. It is convenient to be able to park right out front of the store. I am grateful for their excellent services.

called the MacStore and explained the issue with iPhone 8 camera prior to visit. Over the phone, I was advised that (sounded confidently) I have to replace a camera for $100 and they have a computer to identify the root cause failure (hardware or software). I stopped by the store and left my phone for troubleshooting. An hour later I called and they told me that the brand new camera part did not fix the issue, and apparently, they didn’t use a computer to test it??!?!? Then, they said it’s likely to be software or board problem. (I had to pay them $50 which is understandable as it was for diagnostic fee.) But, there was a piece of dust or hair inside of the camera. I went back and asked them to remove it. I waited for 45 minutes to have my phone back. There was a mark on the edge of the screen where they might have pry-opened screen. I got tired of waiting for nothing and it is inexpensive iPhone 8 device so I just let it go and will not go back there again.
