What a WONDERFUL Company! I looked all over to find the quality of window shades that I remember having in our home as a child (wood round on top, strong springs, wood flat insert on the bottom, CROCHET ring even that hung down!!!) I thought I would never find that again for our home BUT! when I saw that they make them for you at Alameda Shades I called and Lydia was so old-fashioned wonderful that I purchased my vintage (new) shades from them and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! My husband is a historic renovation contractor and said they were awesome (meaning easy) to install too! Two things: Let lydia send you the color samples of your choices that you have (it was worth the few days wait to see, unless you just want white) and MEASURE MEASURE and MEASURE AGAIN EACH WINDOW to be sure you get the right measures on them because you will receive your shades with no give and ready to install. Now, they weren’t cheap. No, they weren’t the least expensive I found:
