Just called in with regards to the Shelter in Place and asked if they could help in stopping the guy outside leaf blowing. He had been blowing already for two hours and probably spread anyone’s spit around from the ground. The police woman told me that some will deem their work essential and there is nothing we can do. This is not Marshall Law. So, what is it then? It’s okay to do your essential work. I agree, but if it actually puts more people at risk of getting the virus then they should interfere. After all that’s what police is here for, Protection! Someone needs to train our officers on how virus spreads. Anyways, there is no enforcement of the Shelter in Place law. Feel free everyone!

Called about someone throwing a rock at my car and breaking the window while I was driving down Shoreline Dr. It’s been an hour and a half and still no response. Seems like Alameda PD is acting like Flint Police with their terrible response times. I think the County Sheriff and Highway Patrol need to take over for the city police if they can’t handle patrolling a few quiet neighborhoods.
