Founded in 1930, Aigner Chocolates is one of the oldest chocolate and confectionery shops in NYC. Owned by the same family for three generations, the Aigners have recently passed the recipes and traditions of chocolate making to the new owners, Mark Libertini and Rachel Kellner. Mark and Rachel plan on continuing the rich tradition of making Austrian style chocolate using the same antique equipment and techniques that has made Aigner a New York City institution. Mark and Rachel are honored to be a part of generations of tradition and hope to help create new traditions in the years to come.

The owner provided exceptional care when collaborating with us to place a large order for the 1/4 lb gift box of chocolate truffles. We were looking for something to give to our priority clients as special gifts, and Aigner Chocolates has a nice range of corporate gifting options to choose from. Rachel work diligently to find the right product and level of branding to meet our needs and was very patient with all of our questions and detailed requests. I live near Lazar’s chocolate shop, but I would drive to Queens instead for Aigner’s chocolate because I think it is a superior product. There is a nice variety of chocolates to choose from. My favorite are the caramels.

My first time here was a great experience. I highly recommend anyone looking for quality chocolate to give this place a try. We were provided great service and all our questions were answered. While their chocolate is silky smooth and decadent, do not count their caramel out. It is the best caramel I’ve had in long time. I will definitely be a returning customer.
