If I could give less than 1 star I would! This company is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with by far.I set up my service with ADT-Protect your home after someone burglarized my spouses and my vehicles. We literally had just moved into the neighborhood two weeks prior to this happening. I was told i have up to 30 days to cancel my service… FALSE. I had 3 days. What sort of terms and conditions for cancellation are those for a home security system? i sell cellphones for a living and we give customers 14-30 days to return a single device. ADT gives 3 days to decide whether your security system that is meant to protect your home and family is good enough for what you and your family need. Now here’s the kicker and biggest boot in the teeth. i called in on day 2 of my service to cancel it because the motion sensors in the cameras were sending over 300 notifications to my device. i adjusted the monitoring zones and motion sensitivity over 20 times throughout the day to get them fine tuned. As a consumer i did everything and then some to fix the issue myself with no satisfaction. remember this is day 2 out of the 3 day cancellation terms. I was on the phone with the rep for well over an HOUR (conversation time, not including excessive amounts of waiting time) to remove the devices i had signed up for and cancel my service. She tells me i need to fax a cancellation document over to her to move forward. i attempt to do so but the fax wouldn’t go through for some reason. so i asked if i could send it to her via email as a PDF file… the line goes dead. i say hello, are you there? multiple times for close to an additional 2 minutes until the call disconnects. they have my number, they have my information, they have the means of calling me back as an upset customer that knowingly needs to be serviced. do i receive a call back… NO. i attempt to call back in and after waiting for an additional 45 minutes for someone to answer the phone i give up, they even ask and verify your number with you INCASE THEY LOSE CONNECTION WITH YOU DURING THE CALL. i wait till monday to call back in, Day 4. i figure that this is okay due to my previous call and since all calls are recorded. I am told basically i am up that stinky creek without a paddle… HOW IS THIS ETHICAL? so i take it on the chin after their internal investigation and account management department look into it further and listen to the call. When they finish reviewing the call the lady comes back on the line with me and says well she didnt hang up on you and you never called back and its day 4 so have fun with your security system (esentially that is an obvious dramatazation but accurate to what was esentially said.)Oh it gets worse…i call back in to see if someone else might be able to help with my service cancellation because i had faulty equiptment installed as well… which is the case of getting out of contract within the first 30 days. I see the light at the end of the tunnel… not quite. i am told that they can come and replace the equiptment. i say no thank you i would just like everything removed and be done with it. if you want to do that its completly fine but you will be charged 75% of your service for your three year contract… which comes out to $1620.00. WHAT?!?!?! you cant be serious! yep they are serious. so here i am being bent over and forced to bite the bullet again… not happy. the rep says well i can credit you on your second months worth of service… okay that nice, sure but thats just throwing a bandaid on a bullet wound at this point…Oh wait it gets even better… or worse… i dont know at this point. all i know is i HATE your company down to a molecular form. i cant keep going off due to a character limit on this review but there is so much more i have to express. the saddest thing about this whole thing is i have only been a VICTIM (customer) for less than two full months.

The service technician was very nice and courteous as well as very knowledgeable. Answered all and any questions posed to him. I’ve had two previous alarm providers and I am very happy that I switched to ADT. I feel better protected and have more peace of mind with the ADT system. All around top shelf alarm company. Highly recommend to everyone.
