Took my bike in to replace the tubular tires. Robert charged me the labor for one tire, made some minor adjustment and lubrication on the house AND cleaned my bike. If this is not above and beyond, I don’t know what is.

My friend and I were almost to the bridge, when she got a flat..she fixed it but the valve was too short, couldn’t inflate tire.. so looked up closest shop.. i took the wheel, & rode to the shop. & explained..he said wrong tube, but put a valve extender on, and pumped the tire.. .So, never changed the tube, just showed me the valve extender, & how to put on. Probably 2 minutes. When I asked how much, ( I also, bought correct tube, it was 40$. I mean, really?? I expected it to not be cheap, me not being a local.. I should have gotten the receipt, as WTH. Valve extender was 12$, maybe the tube was 8-10$, tops.. so like 20 $ for labor of 2 minutes basically just putting valve on & using compressor to pump air.. I was appreciative he took care of me, but the shop wasn’t busy, it was a Friday afternoon. Total rip – off.. I work occasionally @ a bike shop back home, and if someone brings wheel in w/flat, labor is 10$ + cost of tube to replace.. He didn’t even have to do that & still charged too much. Shop was nice, guy was nice, but really…
