I had about a dozen photos printed here last year to frame and give as gifts. I thought they came out beautifully, and I especially appreciated the time and care the store owner spent with me as we sized the photos and printed test versions. She took her time and in the end I left with great photos. Fast forward to this year, I’m in a different city and looking high and low for a shop with equivalent work and cannot find one! I’m going to have to drive back to San Mateo to work with A-1 again, if I’m lucky and they’re still open. I seriously didn’t know how good I had it until I tried to find its equal! Thank you for your great work, your patience, and your attention to detail, A-1!

$13.5 plus tax for two passport photos. Fair price compared to others. A small studio but better than drug stores. At least the photographer adjusted her height to get an eye level shot of me, unlike the guy at Express Photo & Video in Foster City who made me tilt up my head for his camera that was way higher than me. Quick processing here with a good result. They even let me pick the version I liked before processing it. My only complaint was the flashlight. A professional photographer would have given me a warning and told me not to twist my head. But overall I’m happy with a decent picture I got. Recommended.
