I will be updating this review as we go. My husband and I had our first free trial class last Saturday, 9/22/2018. The studio is beautiful with a nice dance floor and a great sound system. We had a lot of fun and started the very-very-very basic foundation of moving together. The instructor was upbeat and we felt comfortable throughout the whole class (which was a short session). At the end, we were offered a small and a large package consisting of either: small -> 4 private lessons, 2 group sessions + 2 parties; large -> 10 private lessons, 4 group sessions + 4 parties. The small package was $486 and the large was $1207 (which is a discounted rate for new students). The instructor told us that, as members of the studio, we can go use the dance floor to practice when we want. For the group lessons, she said we will be matched with students somewhat in the same level as us. We ended up purchasing the large package. We decided we will reduce the number of dance-styles we want to learn to a maximum of 3 because, based on the first free lesson, we feel if we work on more than 3 styles we will be mediocre at all of them by the end of our package.We researched prices around and found out that these packages, even at discounted rate, have considerably higher prices than other ballroom dance studios in the area. Because Arthur Murray has a long history in business, we have high expectations for our investment and want to be dancing with fluidity by the end of this very expensive package. I’ll return at the end of experience to report how things went!

The staff here was great for teaching my wife and I how to waltz before our wedding. It was fun to learn, and I would recommend them for this teaching anytime.I would say, however, that it bothered me to have them keep pushing me to take more lessons. We had our steps down and had all that we had asked for. They wanted more classes out of us for more income I’m sure, but the hard sell was not enjoyable.
