Really nice place for all ages. You can go to the museum with the kids and discover a natural science wonderland, take a hike, and of course, cross the Sundial Bridge while walking over the Sacramento River beneath! It’s a really nice way to spend a sunny day outside in this small, woodsy, quiet hidden gem of a town in California! Bonus: we saw a baby deer relaxing in the shade just staring at us about 100 feet away. They’re totally comfortable and feel very safe in their natural habitat while watching us humans stroll by which is the whole point of this excellent nature preserve!

Awesome place to go. Didn’t even get to the museum since there was so much to do. Friendly staff, great exhibits, and a lot of fun for all ages. Definitely somewhere to go if you’re in Redding.

A beautiful area to enjoy nature. There’s a lot of fun things for the kids to explore and do. They have animal shows and viewings, water play, and sensory days. A must see.
