I really think Bianca has the best pastries in Los Angeles. I take my pastries very very seriously and I don’t review restaurants very frequently. That said, I’ve eaten their pastries numerous times, every time they’re the best I’ve had in LA. They deserve awards.

I asked if a loaf of bread weighted about 700 gr, they said it was 1 kg.. I said I doubted that (my family had a bakery in Italy, I know what a Kg of bread looks like) but they seemed so sure. At home I weighted the loaf and it was 725grams… . I guess it is an honest mistake but why not tell things as they are? The bread is good.very expensive for 700gram, more than 1$ per 100gr..

I visit the bakery regularly and Bianca has some of the best loafs, baguette, croissants, empanadas and pastries in LA. This place is a tier up from the overrated social-media hyped places such as Tartine, and they’re on par with Normandie bakery when it comes to baguettes. They’re relatively pricey, but not out of the ordinary for LA standards. The baker is a friendly guy (from Argentina?) who likes to talk about bread and who sometimes gave out samples before the Corona pandemic.I have spent time in France and Italy, and I don’t think they’re at the level I experience there in bread, so I’m not giving 5 stars but they definitely deserve 4 stars. I recommend getting fresh bread here and plan on coming back soon.
