I am very disappointed in Fresno DAV. I got a call from the receptionist telling me the last few times I donated items it was junk and had to be tossed! She also stated I have to donate a minimum of 6 boxes! I Called the manager to ask what this was all about. Apparently a neighbor had donated stuff that was junk supposedly and was mixed with my donation. I was also advised the couches were not good! I asked what couches? I had not donated couches. Apparently it was the same neighbor that donated junk. The manager said she would call me back after she looked into the matter but she has not called. I canceled any donations with DAV until they apologize to me. Within the last 3 months I donated good small household items and clothing that are washed and ready for use or sale. I also advised the manager I had donated an office chair, stereo equipment, new bread machine, brand new baking pans, gently used and new clothing for women and 7 pair of men’s jeans. I also donated a book shelf and wood chest. I will not be donating or buying from this Fresno DAV store until apologies are made. If they have not received the above items from their drivers then I suspect those items were taken by the drivers and never made it to the store. In my estimation those items were worth several hundred dollars combined.

When we approached the cashier today as we were ready to leave, we had to ask the cashier to pull up her mask. She told us we could just leave. My husband asked her to pull it for just a moment and just ring us up. She reluctantly did with an attitude and said that we shouldn’t be out shopping. We feel that she shouldn’t be working there where she doesn’t value the safety of others during a pandemic. We’ve been shopping here for years, but we won’t be coming back.

Would give zero if possible. Bought a piece of furniture that they said they would hold. Well they didn’t mark the furniture and sold it. Try to get the money back but of course to do that I’ve gotta have the right card. Another trip to waste. Can I talk to the manager. No. Did I get anything from this experience. Yup I got screwed.
