I went to the Lodi Ulta today because I had a gift card…never again. I can shop at any other of many stores that sell beauty products and at cheaper prices and treat their customers better. This was my experience today: When I first walked in a young lady (didn’t get her name, sorry) asked if I needed help with anything, I said, Oh I’m fine, thank you so she stayed at the end of the aisle I was in & straightened product – which would be no big deal but she asked to help me a total of 5 times throughout different areas of the store and hung around each time! I felt like she thought I was shoplifting or something. I was only in the store maybe 20 min. and I was approached 6 more times by others in the store but they didn’t act like her. Apparantly there were too many associates on the salesfloor with nothing else to do? I did need help with a hair product and a different young lady was nice but while explaining the product she said, I mean, I know this product is sold at Target but it is still a good brand. Whoa! That was kind of snooty of her! Then I went to the cashier, Ashley. She began the sale by asking if I wanted to give her my phone number to get my rewards, I don’t shop there very often so I said, No thank you, she asked if I wanted to sign up for rewards and again I said, No thank you. She then asked if I wanted to give her someone else’s phone number (?) and again I said, No thank you. She rang me up and handed me my bag so I said, Thank you, she said nothing. Then she handed me my receipt and I again said, Thank you and she again said nothing. Isn’t thanking your customer the most basic thing you are taught? I really just wanted to return everything for another gift card and drive to another Ulta store but decided against it. I think I am done shopping at any Ulta store.
