This place is home to Portillo’s. Probably the best fast food place in the entire state of California and one of the best in the states of Illinois and Indiana. Us Chicagoans know our food, that’s FOR SURE. When you come here, make sure to get the “big beef” Italian Beef sandwich. You won’t regret it!

Me and hubby made our way down to Portillo’s. As a Chicago native I had to go for some comfort food. Hubby had the Italian Beef and Italian sausage combo. I had the Polish sausage with grilled onions, Maxwell Street style. Hubby loved his combo. Mine was grilled to perfection The grilled onions weren’t the way they’re made back home, but hey, I’ll overlook that minor detail. By the way, we’ve gone back twice already. You better believe this Chicago girl will be be going back. Next time I want to check out the Chicago-style hot dog. I’ll let you know how I like it.
