Welcome to Harper Motors Harper Motors is proud to be one of America’s oldest automobile dealerships. Established in 1912 in Eureka , California , we are a true family business. Founder , Harvey M . Harper , traveled from Arizona to Eureka with his family in a 1912 Ford Model-T to settle and begin his Ford dealership in downtown Eureka , located approximately 250 miles north of San Francisco. Today, great-grandson Trevor Harper oversees the operation that has been serving the North Coast for over 100 years. The dealership is located between the cities of Eureka and Arcata on Highway 101 along California’s scenic north coast. Harper Motor’s trademark 1947 Alan Herschell carousel is visible from the freeway.

I left 5 stars for the Parts Dept for my Friday visit.Update for Sales Dept: Saturday I returned to Harper Motors Parts and they were closed, in conflict to their hours listing which showed them being open. Told 4 of the sales reps standing there and they said they would look into it (Right!) and went on their way as if they did not have time for a customer not interested in buying a car (to the contrary, I am in the market)… No sorry bout that or anything. I bet if any one of them drove to work and found out they changed their schedule on them they would upset though! BTW, at the time of this listing, the Parts Dept hours are still listed in error. I will notify Parts direct on Monday.Update: Appx 10 days later. Was contacted by Trevor Harper and informed that their hours were corrected online. Kudos for the follow thru and a great Parts Service Rep. Hopefully the sales reps will also be instructed and corrected on how to deal appropriately with customers as this was the premise of my prior constructive criticism.
