Martha Lear. Real Estate & California Hot spots!
A little market with a good variety of Bulgarian, Romanian, Eastern and other European foods. The owner, Margarita is very friendly and helpful. She has a large area in the front of the store to house guests interested in hanging out to drink her espresso coffee. An unusual find!

Most of the products are expired and insanely expensive. Don’t buy food from That store as you may get poisoned

First visit to the store. It consists of two rooms: a mid-size with seating on both sides, suitable for socializing and events, but I didn’t see if coffee is offered and can be purchased; and a smaller size room in the back, behind a glass wall, where the actual store is. The inventory offers small souvenirs, round pans for banitza pastry, a limited selection of popular biscuits, chocolate waffles Morena, candies, vegetable spreads, juices, beer, wine from Bulgaria and variety of dry meats. We were very excited from the good variety of dry meats: couple types of sudzhuk, lukanka (Karlovska and Staroselska), Babek, sasdarma, Ambaritza, Elena. At $17 – $20/lb expected the taste to be at par, but was very disappointed as some of the meats not only did not have the expected familiar taste, they had no taste at all. The expiration date of the Morenas we purchased was 3 days away, but they were on full price. The store is a OK, if in the area and feeling homesick, but not worth a long drive.
