Doug Jayne and Hoyt Wilhelm originally opened The Last Record Store in 1983 at 739 4th St, Santa Rosa, CA. The shop relocated to 1899 Mendocino Ave. in 2003. After Hoyt’s retirement in 2021, Doug, along with his wife, Barrett, his son, Ethan, and 20+ year LRS employee Gerry Stumbaugh re-established the business as The Next Record Store.
