I visited the store and was very happy with their selection. I found an Ecco shoe I really liked but they did not have it in my size. So they said they can order it for me and have it shipped within a week. I gave them my information (including my credit card which they charged) and after not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called. After talking to a person in the store, I was told they would look into it and call me back. nothing happened for a week, I called back. Again, I was told they look into it and will call me back. 5 days later, still no call back I called again. The person on the phone was rather short and at no time apologetic about the situation, eventually he said give me a credit card number and I credit you the amount we charged… no explanation and no apologies. Not a pleasant experience!

Let me start by saying, I hate shoes, they have been the bane of my existence since I can remember. I was visiting Carmel with a friend who is wild about shoes and she stumbled into Hedi’s and I just followed and sat down near the door. I was just sitting when I was approached by a someone saying ‘You need to get out of those shoes’! Huh? I explained I was just waiting for my friend, so ‘Ed’ goes over to my friend to assist, but he keeps coming back to me. He says I have what you need and brings out a pair of shoes. They don’t fit. HA-I say, nothing fits! He measures my feet and comes back. He tells me my $800 custom orthotics are crap and making it worse. I protest. But I put on the shoes anyway. My feet are in heaven. My body is in bliss. Ed found shoes to stop my pronation, and to alleviate the pain in my hip with one pair of shoes. REALLY! This man fixed my life with a pair of shoes. Ed is really talented! He is the culmination of the right person finding the right profession and superlative learning and intuition. Ed did not want to sell me a pair of shoes, he wanted to fix my problem! AND I am going to drive the 200 miles to the store just to buy more shoes!!
