I live 2 minutes away and I always go walking there and it is a nice pier! There is always a seal that swims around the pier and he’s adorable! The only issue is that it does need to be a little bit more taken care of. Some parts of the pier are dirty because of the fisherman and trash. But it’s still a nice place to sit and enjoy the ocean.

Listen y’all, this pier and beach hold a special place in my heart as I grew up with this place from an early childhood. I remember when the arcade was open and hold into the vivid memories that I built there. Now gone, some of the luster and innocence I had growing up is gone but I still can’t knock the whole place just because it’s gone. The pier is great to watch the sun set and rise. Be mindful of the weather because it can always get chilly at a moment’s notice. Recommend to anyone to explore the beach and pier.

Been going there since I was a child and it’s one of my favorite piers in southern California. I personally go there to eat at Quality Seafood which is at the lower part behind the pier next to the Marina. All in all this pier has it all. Great shops and food venues. Also for you photographers it’s a good pier for photo-ops whether you’re into landscape photography or modeling photoshoots…..
