I had long been under the impression McCaulou’s was an old lady store. I popped in by chance during the Lincoln Center Christmas event, and was surprised by the children’s selection! The staff were friendly too. I made a quick purchase, with the intention of coming back when I had more time to shop. I popped back in with my son as I had more time, and I am not sure what was up with the employees. It’s almost as if she had decided as I walked in she was going to be as rude and unhelpful as possible. I started shopping and she made four comments to me unsolicited, about not to touch things. It was really off-putting. Needless to say, I left immediately. How uncomfortable! Sad, but I definitely won’t be back!
