Yes this office is a little different, I went from a Patient room to waiting room to different patient room. But I did see a different specialist in the different room. So afterwards I did feel ok with the way I was moved around. The Staff was very professional. Estefan checked me in, greeted me.Paola took me to the first room .Esmeralda brought me to the second room where I met Dr Pons.Very nice. Dr Pons took his time with me, explained to me very well & very detailed. The Gentleman that did the Digital Picture Map was very nice, personable.Dr Pons showed me with the Digital Picture exactly what had happened to my eye and the importance of correcting it. Then Esmeralda talked with me about my situation.Dr Pons also detailed explained the procedure I would need, why I needed it. What to do after the procedure to help ensure its success. Can’t say enough how well I was treated by each staff member. Always asking if I had any questions and when I did, made sure that I understood the answers . Looking back now, that was important because I was a little in shock about my eye. And I wasn’t really sure what to ask.Esmeralda also gave me confidence for tommorow in Dr Skaf abilities to help me.Dr Pons was also very honest yet still confident that Dr could help me as well.By homesty, I mean the pros & the cons of the procedure.Diana – Dr Skaf – coordinator called me later that day just verify time, things I should do night before the procedure and she called in my RX so I could pick it up before the procedure.Which shows me great planning on this Offices’ part.Made me feel that they are good Team type office to ensure things are done proficiently.I will definitely be recommending this office.I’m very satisfied with my first time visit.

My husband was referred to these retina specialists after a routine eye exam at Costco optometry with Dr. Chad Barritt resulted in a diagnosis of a detached retina! We were on vacation from Canada and this was a complete detour from our plans. Dr. Barritt recommended we go directly to the California Retina Clinic as this is an emergency and needs surgery to prevent complete vision loss. We went there and explained our situation and they fit us into their busy schedule within 2 hours. My husband had the fortune of seeing Dr. Jason Moss who was just great. He was kind and patient and explained the extent of the problem and different ways it could be repaired. Since we planned to continue travelling, he recommended a silicone oil to repair his eye instead of a gas bubble which would restrict travelling over mountain passes. He scheduled the surgery 2 days later at their adjacent clinic, the Surgery Center of California. My husband’s appointment was scheduled for noon but they called us to see if we would like to come in at 10:00 am as they had had some cancellations. My husband was happy to get started early. We had been told that the surgery and recovery time could be a total of 4 hours but he was ready to go home by 12:40, alert and pain free. We returned the next morning to have the dressing removed and once again had the most professional service. All of the assistants were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. A week later we met with Dr. Moss again for a final check and we couldn’t be happier with the service and kind professionalism that we received. As Chula Vista was not our home, they even supplied us with the necessary eye drops without sending us to a pharmacy. In addition, they very willingly provided us with copies of all their paperwork and records for us to take in hand to our ophthalmologist back in Canada. We couldn’t be happier with the facility, the service, the knowledge or the outcome and feel that we were lucky to have had this happen where it did. I would give a 5 Star rating or 10/10.
