Really unhappy with the eyeglasses I felt pushed into buying.I was clearly not deciding between 2 pairs. I wasn’t feeling well and I explained that I wanted to come back another day to decide.Overall the glasses I bought were NOT UV lenses as I was told – that purple shade you see on people and my previous pair.I felt like I was lied to about that. They don’t stay on my face & fall off all the time as well.I would like a refund. However, I doubt that would ever be possible.

We were excited to see an America’s Best in Vallejo. When we walked in, we were greeted by 3 young women behind the counter. My husband walked towards the frames & one of the young women asked to take our temperature. I told them we are here to get glasses. The other young women who was dressed in a Hawaiian outfit for Halloween said, “Well, you need an appointment!” Her tone was rude & condescending. We need an appt to look? The name on the badge was, “Shannon.” The icy welcome turned us off to not do business with Americas Best. The 3 women sat behind the counter chit chatting. The third young women helped us look up the insurance. She was somewhat helpful. We looked at a couple of frames. The sample displays need to be cleaned. They were greasy & dusty. Sorry, we are not coming back. The rudeness turned us off.So my husband wanted to give them another chance. So we made an appointment. When we first arrived, we said, We have an appointment. We didn’t want to have a repeat incident. I was hesitant, but willing to not let one person deter me. The same person helped us last time to look up our new insurance. I think she was new, she had to ask. The person who helped us knew all about Avesis insurance. The same person we had an issue with, Shannon brought us to the exam room. I have to say, she was great, very personable and professional. We had our second exam with the Optometrist: Dr. Paul, he was great as well. Well ended up buying 2 new pairs of glasses, 8 days later our glasses were ready and we couldn’t be happier. We were so glad we went back. Everyone deserves a second chance, even when you only have one chance to make the 1st impression. Thank you America’s Best. We will be returning.
