I really like the ambiance of shopping at Malls and the survival of Macy’s I hope will ensure that they can remain one of the anchor stores that are vital to the viability and financial survival of malls from a business/sales standpoint. The salesman in the men’s department went out of his way to give me a discount on some jeans I recently purchased which was nice. I also enjoy the festive vibe of the departments at Macy’s- especially walking through the lady’s cosmetics and fragrance department where beauticians and eager young women look to experience what is new in cosmetics. I would rather pay a few dollars more to support Macy’s and mall stores rather than shop online. You can’t beat the experience of in-person shopping no matter what these gargantuan online shopping corporations say.
