Unbelievable! A few weeks have passed since my Beautiful Wife thought she had inadvertently thrown her wedding rings into the garbage on a COVID cleaning spree. She was distressed to no end. She heard the Waste Management truck pulling away from the house and thought she had to stop the truck before it dumped it’s load at the landfill and the D-8 Cats buried them forever. When she caught the truck it wasn’t the garbage, but the recycling truck. She asked if he could help her and he politely said the truck she was looking for was somewhere ahead of him and suggested a possible route. She continued stopping trucks until she found a Terrific Driver by the name of Nelson, whom said he knew the Diver of that route and called him to explain the situation. Nelson said that the driver would be at the landfill at a specific time and would try to have the load set aside until we could get there. He was right on the money, and provided where in the compressed load our garbage would be found. He was again, spot on. He had to continue his route, so we were unable to thank him there. But we will be looking for him, My wife wants to give him a big hug for his help. We found the rings in an unlikely place at home, but only after having cut a path and sifting through the unpleasant cargo at the landfill in near 100° heat for just over three hours. The Rings were at our home, but the thought of them buried and compacted into the earth of a future track home development was something we weren’t willing to accept without trying. Waste Management Corporate and there Drivers were Kind, Compassionate, and Willing to do whatever they could to help us. In today’s world of circumstance, we could not be more appreciative of there unwavering commitment to service. I have always waved at the Drivers that service our neighborhood, only now with a new found respect for the people whom work in an unappreciated position to provide for the care of our communities! A huge Thank You to, Waste Management, Drivers, & All Staff Members! &

So why the mandatory yard waste fee? My backyard is all rocks and sand to preserve water. It is encouraged by the city/state and it is the right thing to do. Who did you guys pay off to get that fee mandated?
