Love this area of the Huntington Garden! Hard to imagine that thus area is as close to native as it gets in this area of the world. They have cacti and succulents from all over the world. They recently redid the pathway for part of this garden. Worth checking out if you are visiting for the first time.

Just know better Desert Garden in all of Southern California. It must be a full city block of gorgeous cactuses succulents and palm trees. There are numerous paths through the gorgeous Gardens. During Springtime bloom it’s really incredible. But at any time of year it’s really amazing and worth checking out.

Definitely pick a cool day to explore this part of the garden. There is little shade. The variation of species and locations of origin are amazing. Some of the specimens are over 100 years old. Great planting arrangements to see the ideas of what you may want to do. All are labeled.
