Bring in your items you would like to sell, we’ll look at the CONTENT (Author, Title, Edition) and CONDITION (Like New, Very Good, etc.) and make you a CASH OFFER for all your items. We buy over 1,000 books a day from the public, and sell at least that many. No appointment is necessary, please just bring in your items for an offer! The slowest times are Monday-Friday before 5p. The busiest times are evenings and weekends. We also host open-mic poetry readings once a month and Fire Sales every quarter!!!

If you love books and don’t mind getting them second hand then this is definitely a place you’ll want to check out. It’s not a huge store but it’s full, well organized and has a little something for everyone’s taste. The staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a fair amount of movies and music to peruse. The sell prices are great and they have a purchase program too. It’s great to have a place where you can both buy and sell books, movies and music. A cool place to spend some time finding a great deal.

They clearly give basically no value when buying books, even if your collection includes expensive books. I’m not even sure if they were aware of the books actual value or if they just act that way to get you to basically give your books away. Just sell them yourself online or anywhere or even just donate them…you could even just throw them away and save the gas, will come to about the same as what they’ll offer you. The store response is pretty funny, it’s literally pennies on the dollar what they offer you. Exactly the same as online apps that cover shipping to ship the books to them, except Half Off isn’t paying shipping, you drove to them.

Pleasant little book nook. A wide variety to choose from at much better prices than you would find new. In most cases the books were in excellent condition which is the main reason I compare them to new prices and not used prices. The staff was friendly and they also accept donations of books as well. My biggest complaint was the lack of a film or vodeogame art section…they had official guides and one art of book for zootopia at the time of my visit…but being a used bookstore I should doubt these things are often donated to be able to put on the shelf. Keep up the great work half off books!
