Great bookstore. Friendly staff. Always find plenty of books for the family to take home. Glad they are still open during these strange times.

The BEST book store in Chico. Period. This place is a Chico classic and a treasure. A perfect example of a local bookstore done right. Amazing selection of books covering a Wide variety of genres and subject matter. So so many gems to be found here. The chill & friendly vibes here, along with its location in dt Chico make this arguably one of the best bookstores in the North State.

Probably the best used bookstore in Chico! Our first visit and we didn’t get out of the sci-fi aisle. Due to covid-19, they only let a limited number of customers in the store at any one time, but the short wait was tolerable and totally understandable. Also sells new books at reduced prices. Great selection of Octavia Butler books just to name a few. We bought 7 soft covers for about $50 and probably would have stayed longer if our budget and parking meter had permitted it. Most of the parking around the store is regulated with meters and several are limited to 36 minutes. We came out to leave and a parking cop on foot was slowly inspecting the meters for that ominous red blinking light which screams PARKING VIOLATOR! But there are nearby public parking lots and downtown Chico has tons of shops, bars, and restaurants to stroll around.
