Although this store always has interesting choices, I was extremely disappointed with the condescending attitude and rudeness of the staff member who I asked a simple question. Really a shame because the balance of the staff is usually accommodating and pleasant. I by all means highly recommend Fishs Eddy for unique tableware. Perhaps the staff member was having a bad day, which everyone is entitled to every now and then. I simply didn’t appreciate it especially when I go out of my way to be nice and appreciative of those who work in retail after they have had such a challenging year only to be treated as such. To the 194,000 people that follow me know you that I’m more than fair and rarely say a negative word unless it’s very apparent.

I first discovered Fishs Eddy living in Japan. Visiting the store in NYC was on my to-do list ever since and I finally got the chance! The store was bigger than I imagined and it was so much fun looking at all the different shapes, sizes, and patterns of dishes. There was even a section of assorted older items, and I found a piece of the Spot On collection! I’m slowly finding and buying pieces of that collection, so that was such a lucky find. I love this brand and the store did not disappoint! I would have bought much more if I wasn’t flying back to California with just a carry-on (the plate survived the flight in case you were wondering)!
