Try this place like a getaway from the regular weekend parties and stuff.

Great museum to go with kids. Sadly the meteorites section was for members only when we were there. And some other parts are closed, too, because they have a covid-19 vaccination area in the lower floor. But all the other areas where great to see, everything with signals to show you where to go so people don’t get too close. Not very crowded.

This is a really good bang for your buck place to go. You can spend all day and still not see everything. At the moment, inside restaurants are closed, but you can leave and reenter during the same day! (Few other places let you do that). There is a decent amount of seating scattered about inside, as you’ll be walking a lot. The guides were fairly cheerful, given that they must answer the same questions all day long.

Yup! Loved every minute of it. Great place to spend the day. There is plenty to see and do while taking in all the history. All of the exhibits are laid out in a fluid manner and offer a plethora of information to take in. I only made it through 3/4 of the exhibits in 3hrs. If you are in NYC—Why not?
