I had a very frustrating experience with this shop today. I made an appointment to drop off my vintage anniversary clock for repair, noting in the comments section of the appointment that the clock was from the mid-1950’s. So far so good. I even got an email reminder of my appointment yesterday. When I arrived at the shop at the appointed time today, the lady that answered the door appeared surprised to see me. When I told her I had an appointment to drop off my anniversary clock for repair, she told me, sorry, we don’t do mechanical clock repairs any more, we only change batteries. OK – I wish someone had read the comments in my appointment and emailed me this before I made the drive to the shop. I asked if she knew anyone who could repair it, she said, you need someone who does mechanical repairs. Well, yes…. did she know of anyone who does mechanical repairs? No. I am out of luck. I recommend confirming this shop can help you before you get in your car!
