This past Saturday I went to Nordstrom to return an item I purchased online the wrong size was shipped to my house. As I looked around the store for the extended sizes – size 16 on up the store had no clothes for the average woman, the sales clerks when I ask responded well you can purchase on line… So now Nordstrom wants to eliminate having merchandise in there stores for the plus size customer, they claim not enough people shop for plus sizes…. No it was the buyers in your stores that did not know how to select items that are becoming to the plus size woman. I proceeded to purchase some shoes, earrings and lipstick all three areas of the store I experience mediocre customer service. I was not ask did I want to use my triple points day, actually the shoe sales person did not believe my Nordstrom Card was mine, I have had it for over 16 years…. My last purchase was some earrings, the sales person did not even wrap the earrings in tissue or a jewelry bag, the were just place in a shopping bag with the receipt. The earrings were not expensive but he could have taken better care. Nordstrom Century City is not welcoming to all, they only want to help a certain profile of shopper and if you are not a size 2 they don’t carry any clothes to fit you. For the average woman who is a size 16, I have no idea where to shop because Macys is federated, same blouse in all Macys…..
