I received my very first sectional from Sofa U Love this morning, and I couldn’t be happier. Not only was it delivered two days earlier than originally expected, but it’s a beautiful, substantial, very well made piece of furniture. I have owned a lot of high-end couches and had been extremely frustrated with my last RH Modern couch when the seat cushion collapsed in less than two years, so I decided to take a chance on doing a fully custom order. I was thrilled to find out that Sofa U Love (which makes their couches in California, no less) provides a 10-year-guarantee on their cushions and a lifetime warranty on the frame of the couch. I’ve never seen another furniture company offer such a robust warranty on their product and I was excited to be able to buy a couch made in the USA, so I felt like I was in good hands.Sofa U Love can make practically anything, so the number of options can be overwhelming. But I worked with their in-house designer, Sarah, to create a low, modern, slightly formal 9′ sectional that’s just right for me. We modified one of their basic styles by raising the height of the back for better support, adding piping for structure, and making the arms lower and more narrow to maximize seating area. We made the cushions extra firm, customized the depth of the chaise, added custom brass feet, and did all of this using a rich, durable, midnight blue velvet that happens to be one of their Grade A(cheapest tier) fabrics. Now I have a beautiful couch with seat cushions that have the bounce of a good mattress and back cushions that feel like they’ll never sag. The velvet is even softer than I expected, the delivery guys were on time, very professional, and were in and out in under 15 minutes. And all of it cost far less than trying to buy an in-stock couch of similar size from Room & Board or Crate & Barrel. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
