Let’s start with Wow. Anyone who knows me also knows that I am very frugal. I always try to get the most for my money. I also like to stay within my means and rarely make exception to a planned budget. Now let me tell you a story about my experience.To start, my teenage son was unharmed in an accident that totaled the car we had purchased for him. The car was towed away on a Sunday morning. Insurance confirmed total loss by the following Tuesday. Side note: We had daydreamed of a Hyundai Santa Fe since renting one for an East coast road trip a couple years ago.Now that we knew we needed another car, we had to decide if we would use the insurance money on another cheap car for our son or upgrade one of us adults, leaving a trusted car we already owned to him for transit to and from school. We decided the kid had his turn.We started looking at used Santa Fe’s online and found one Wednesday night that was within our budget. This seemed to good to be true. Thursday night we were at the Team Chevrolet DGDG dealership with Tina Kester to see the car. Tina is young but clearly knows her stuff and enjoys her job. We were thrilled with the service Tina provided. Tina seemed to know when to leave my wife and I alone to discuss things and when to check back on us. Not only did we take the car home that night but I felt so good about the whole transaction that I decided to give up my salvaged Acura that I had been driving for the last 10 years.Fast forward 2 weeks to January 2nd 2020. I traded in my salvaged Acura for a matching Santa Fe in a different color. My wife and I are both thrilled with our vehicles. In the 2 weeks through the holidays we put over 1000 miles on my wife’s new car and I’ve put nearly 150 miles on mine in the 2 days I’ve had it.I would like to summarize by saying that Tina and the DGDG Team Chevrolet group made our experience exciting and fun. We have no buyers remorse and both my wife and I highly recommend Tina Kester to anyone who is in the market for a new or certified used car.Update – June 2021: Since our two purchases about two weeks apart, a global pandemic has turned the world on end and effected day to day life in ways I never would have thought about prior. I was an essential worker as was my wife. Without traffic and sometimes working from home, we both put less than half of our typical mileage on our new vehicles. However, we both still love our Santa Fe’s and I feel as strongly about my review now as I did when I wrote it. I feel we got a great value in the vehicles and a great value in service as well as financing from Tina and Team Chevrolet.

I’ve never been to this dealership before. The agent I spoke with was very friendly and professional. He pointed out that the mail I’d gotten telling me about the recall with the obscure recall number, that I took time off of work to drive 35 minutes away for had already been completed on my car. Why does Chevrolet keep sending cryptic, out of date info and wasting my time. I thought this recall notice was to say that they’d found a fix for the original recall which was just a temporary measure. I had the dealership do a cleaning for me since I needed it and I’d gone through all the effort to get there. They did a great job, except they clearly didn’t vacuum the trunk. Was that not included? That would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Otherwise, no complaints. The waiting area was decent.
