I purchased several items at this store in Alhambra (Commonwealth and Fremont) yesterday. I got some margaritaville t-shirts. It surprised me to find they had the security tags for a $18.00 t-shirt.I asked the cashier to make sure all security tags were removed. Next day I found one security tag on one of the t-shirts.I went back to asked that to be removed. The cashier asked me for the receipt. I said NO! I don’t understand how all stores that use these tags don’t train their employees to be polite and said “sorry for the inconvenience “ before asking for the receipt.The cashier consulted another person there. I really don’t know if the other person was a male or female but that was not the problem. She or He asked for the receipt and I told her/him to apologize for make in me drive back and spend gas and time due to their mistake. She/he told me that the protocols of the chain was to ask first for the receipt and after that he/she would apologize.Asking first for the receipt is just like “let me make sure you didn’t steal the shirt” and later I will apologize if you didn’t. I spent my time, the use of my vehicle and gas because their mistake. Big lots is the thief here.
