Laundry Day at The Village is a family friendly laundry mat located in downtown Plattsburgh on South Catherine Street. We have free guest WiFi for customers and a flat screen TV with Spectrum cable. We offer a variety of laundry supplies in our wall mounted vending machine. There are 3 different size washing machines and we offer large industrial size high efficiency propane dryers. There is seating inside as well as several tables for folding your laundry. There is an ATM that dispenses money in $10.00 increments and a change machine to get quarters on-site.

It’s worth paying extra for washers that wash and dryers that dry. I like the high efficiency washers, and they did a great job on my clothes. It took 3 quarters to dry each load. It was clean and looked cared for. The bathroom was also clean and there were vending machines.Unlike some laundromats in the area, my dried clothes didn’t smell like smoke from the past person. I will come here again.

Meeting the owner of the place was a wonderful experience. With only 2 parking spots occupied and after the loud sound my quarters made when I took them out to go dry my clothes, the lady still wanted to know why I was parked there. The reason she gave me was, she watched me walk from all the way over there to my car. Walking while texting is suspicious behavior apparently.

The place is clean but very expensive compared to other laundromats around the area. The employees are rude and close the doors before closing time. They have even started shutting the lights off while I was getting my clothes out of the dryer 40 minutes before they were supposed to close.
